hey im going to get my windows tinted, im thinking 20% all around, i have a 335i sparkling graphite, what would you do? and i have also heard about getting the windows colored, do u think that would be good?

I would recommend 100% on the windshield. Looks really cool and keeps the dashboard from cracking.

I just got mine done in 35% last weekend. Has the tinted look, but still looks super classy.

how noticeable is it from the outside and how much does it help while driving on sunny days?

I'm running 20% all around and I like it. My wife has the same on her GTI and she loves it! (didn't want anything too dark but still wanted some sense of privacy so it was a nice compromise). I do some country driving sometimes at night where street lights are minimal so 5% is waaaay too dark for me.

I have 50% on the windshield and 8% all around ...looks sick but not legal here in L.A.

Good point, check your local laws. Many states don't allow tint, tinting front windows. Some states limit tint. ~35% in most cases.

Can we get some pics of the tint on the windshield and is it as clear to see through as the side windows? My brother has 35% on his windshield and it's kind of grainy and inconsistent to look through.

Colored tints are ghetto. Just get smoke tint 20-35% and you're good.

I recently got 45% all around. Colored is not for me. 35% is legal in most states.

thanks for the input, i think i am going with the 20%, i do alot of night driving so i dont want it too dark. I will put pics on here after i get it done!!

It depends on the interior color. If it's black then go with the 20%, but if it's gray or tan then go with a 15% because the lighter interior offsets the tint.

By the way my windshield is 35%. See sig.
