Car: 08 335i Montego Blue Manual (Stock)

Goal: Increase Hp with minimal cost

Bugget: 2K ish

Wants: JB3
AA BOV
Injen DCI

Just need some advice on what you guys think of these upgrades and if it's not even worth it or better yet, better alternatives. JB3 is a must, but what else to i need with it in order to be more efficient. Thanks

personally I would go with an exhaust rather than the BOV. I am going to install my JB3 this weekend hopefully or next week for sure. I am so pumped. I also have a BMS DCI and air scoops.

Shouldnt waste your money on the BOV. Get a used jb3, used DPs, used exhaust, and BMS DCI. All will be reasonably priced, especially compared to new and there are plenty for sale. Definitely try and get a FMIC as well.

I don't think you can fit a new exhaust system into your budget if you get jb3, dci, downpipes (all new) . Like people said, used ones aren't bad.

thanks for the advice..looks like i will be giving up the DCI for the Downpipes..but what's the difference between catted and catless?? Also, i've heard that if you install jb3, getting a BT Scanner would help....how?? appreciate everything guys

You really need to go to the FI section and read. Your giving up the BOV for DPs, not the DCI. You're getting the DCI instead of a cold air. Research what a catalytic converter is and figure out the difference. You get slightly better flow with out them. Read what a BT scanner is and that will answer your other question. No matter what tune you run, you should get a BT scanner.
