Exclamation New PROcede beta maps (7-14)

Made some minor changes to the maps to make them more friendly to custom tuning (how-to documentation to come soon...). No changes to performance over the previous 7-03 maps, no need to update if that is all you care about

But more importantly, now included are the much-awaited Doomsday versions of the maps. Go here to update to the new goods. Compared to the nonbeta 2-19 Doomsday maps, these maps offer better boost response, faster boost targeting and more general goodness.

Please note that Rev.1 and Rev.2 users can run the same exact maps and firmware (#125). However, Rev.1s will not support the CANbus specific features (code clearing/reading, CANbus logging, dash display, etc,.) But the maps will perform identically on both platforms.

Please read the documentation

You can run an older map/firmware combo that didn't have that update. But for now, that's it. Eventually we may make the temp limits user adjustable though. But not now. My suggestion is to run the new stuff as engine protection is never a bad thing.

Hi!

I am sure Shiv with firmware 123 and map 7-03: my car in valet mode feels more powerful. I liked very much the map 7-03, I run this afternoon map 7-14 Doomsday with firmware 125 and the car is rougher than 7-03. I feel vibrations since 5000rpm with doomsday.

I have two request please Shiv:

1/ I like very much the peformances Valet Mode with "old" firmware 123 and map 7-03 (I drove 1500 km) The response is immediate. Could you keep these performances with firmware 125 please?
2/ I´d like can reset the adaptation of DME, could you include this feature?

Thank a lot

If you have a Rev.2, there is no reason to run a Doomsday map since you can read/clear tuner manipulation codes. No one else has reported any vibrations with the DD map. But I'll keep my ears open.

There should be no difference with respect to valet mode power between firmware 123 and 125. Or between any firmware versions for that matter. Besides, if you want performance, why are you running in valet mode?

We looked at this. But found no need to do it. DME adapts quickly enough for all intents and purposes.

I like valet mode="stock" because with low pressure the response is very fast and I feel it very strong to low-medium regimen.

I thing that the DME adapts is terrible! I drove 65000 km with my 335i. Correct me if I am wrong but I think that with older maps and firmware when I cleared codes, DMe reseted too?
I remember other guys interested in that feature, Please Shiv is it difficult to implement?

Thank you

Ok.

Is there any more performance with the newest maps compared with 5-29, or are they equivalent in that point?

I love new firmware and maps because there's this placebo effect most of the time where everything feels better.

I updated the firmware and map to the latest posted by shiv and went for a drive to Costco. On the way back the oil temp finally got up to 200 and I felt safe checking out the throttle response. I like to think I'm as sensitive to changes in the car's performance, and the car definitely felt lighter and more responsive and this was with a full tank of gas 95octane mix and 2-1/2 people in the car. As usual, no issues with the PROcede, everything is smooth and strong. PROcede Rev 1, DCI, Forge, 95oct mix only.

I realize Shiv said these maps offer no performance changes over the 7/3 maps and #123 firmware, but it feels better to me.

Thanks Shiv!

No. In the first post in the thread, Shiv said there are no performance changes over the previous 7-03 maps. Nevertheless, they feel better to me

I asked if there is any difference in performance between 7-14 and 5-29.

Yes. Every firmware after #117 is BT friendly.
