Let's agree on the basic principle that it is not in any of our interests to have our ECUs running OSX OR Windows. The last thing any of us need is a BSOD or sadmac icon while driving around in our 3500 pound beasts.

LOL, The tune was so strong it induced an Asthma attack...Come on . I have driven 1000+ whp cars and have bad asthma, and never have I had to rush to get an inhaler after the brutal acceleration of the cars, let alone a comparatively week 340-380whp heavy sedan.

It sur[prised me and it wasnt an asthma attack. It was a symptom of asthma and I wanted relief. So take it easy Dr. Cool guy.

I sometimes get full-on take-me-the-hospital athsma attacks when driving fast cars. But only when my passenger is a long haired cat. Or clump of pollen.

I am completely unbiased and was curious to try the procede since Ive had jb products for so long. I loved all of them especially the jb3 1.22 on map 6, great tune.

My car was already very fast I was curious as to the drivability of the procede vs jb3. I drove it for the first time this morning with the procede in it and I was blown away. so much in fact I had to go back home and get my asthma inhaler (havent used it in a long time)because it literally took my breath away with how fast it accelerated. The power started off strong and continued to get stronger and stronger all the way to redline. amazing!! The power delivery is creamy smooth and very linear. The engine feels lighter on its feet and more eager to rev quickly and smoothly.I also love the new growl it has..its addicting. The jb3 was more choppy and wasnt nearly as linear and predictable. power vs the two isnt much different but its the way you get that power that makes me sooo happy I finally tried it.The consistency is much better with this tune. The power is a bit stronger with the procede imo but like I said every pull was exactly the same and the boost gauge climbed perfectly up to max boost. peak recall never went over 15 no matter how hard the pull or violent the shift I LOVE THIS TUNE!!!.

The fuel economy during cruise went up by close to 3 mpg's as well. bonus! I know its a bit more expensive but trust me you guys HAVE to try this tune at some point. As far as my opinion goes with the experience first hand Ive had...the jb3 is a great tune but just plain not as good. The procede is a much better overall tune and its the only tune I need from now on.No exxageration. The difference was noticable the instant I touched the throttle. Its like heaven tuned my car...honestly it feels like it came from the factory with this power. Its like an m5 but with more lowend torque. just how I like it.

If you have a jb3 or any other tune for that matter you owe it to yourself to try this tune or at least take a drive with someone that has it. You will not be disappointed. trust me...you can then pm me and tell me thanks.
btw I am on vishnu's latest map and my car is pre29.2 and I think its a doomsday map though. My car has only a helene drop in and always shell 93. 6/at tranny. I have no loyalties to either of these companies just so you know. Im just a guy who likes to go fast. Try it out and see for yourself. Im so excited to go drive this beast again.

Sorry to rant so much and for the long post Im just very excited with the way my car drives now. perfect in every way. Im reluctant to try new maps because I dont know how it can get any better. I drove it for nearly 3 hrs this morning in between errands...pure enjoyment. thanks for reading.
Very nice review, fotios335i!!! We all know JB3-tuned cars are fast and have great dyno numbers, but do they "drive" as well and "feel as smooth" as PROcede v3-tuned cars? That seems to be the question which is continually being asked, and it appears more often than not, the answer is "no." There are many differences between these 2 products and you get what you pay for.

Hi Folks,

Fotios335i - Thank you for taking the time to do this review, I found it really helpful to state i'm at now (confused, but wanting more).

The middle part of the thread could have been skipped.

I do have a general question ... Since dyno charts are simply documenting performance characteristics at wide open throttle, is there a way to document partial throttle characteristics in a standardized way?

Perhaps a graph of HP and Torque vs. throttle position and gear? It'll end up being a multi-dimensional graph, but then you can see volume of space underneath graph/curve as a way to normalize "usability".

The percentage of time i'm WOT, is a lot less than the times i'm partial throttle and dealing with commute traffic.

Thanks,

Junk

All the data in the world will never tell you how a tuning product feels to the butt-dyno. Drive them both you can decide which is for you. Numbers can suggest, but they are statistics at its best. The meaning depends on how you look at it. So two identical numbers can be correctly interpreted in a variety of ways also depending on who is interpreting. If I were you, I'd do what I did. Figure out a way to get seat time in all the tunes that interest you in similarly configured cars with a reasonably close time of each other so you recall exactly what each felt like. Number are only showing a very small range of operation.

My only precaution with regards to the butt dyno is that you should review what you felt at WOT with the equivalent dyno plot to correlate the "snap of the neck" with what is delivered to the ground.

What I have found is that the non-linearity in power delivery can make you feel that things are faster when in fact things may not be.

I have had many "lucky" friends who have a number of exotics and the one thing that surprised me about driving them is that none of them felt fast, but they were fast. 911 Turbo, F430s and Lambo seem to deliver the power very linearly (given that some of these are NA'd), but i've done 160+ in all of these cars and it really didn't feel very different than my car at 100mph.

As dumb as it sound, fast is fast and manufacturers and tuners have taken different approaches on how to deliver it. I used to be fooled by the "snap the neck" test with little 2.0 + obscenely sized turbos, but when a properly sized turbo + efficient power delivery, you'll be further down the track before the big snail spins up.

Thanks again,

Junk

YOU TOO?????? thought thatI was the only one. Nice to know that I'm not the only one. When this happens though, I don't go to the hospital because it cost too much and i would be embarrased to talk in there with a hard on. I just go to the local brothal. LOL.

+1000

The same point follows suit on the development end. 95% of our work is spent tuning all the conditions you see and feel when driving on the road. Which is 99% of your driving routine. This means partial throttle. Gradual and sudden throttle changes. Transitions from min load to sustained moderate load. Quick blasts from 3000 to 5000rpm (overaking scenarios). The dyno and 1/4 mile don't even enter the picture until the last 5% of tuning. And that is just to get official quantification of WOT power. And even that is unrepresentative of what the car drives like.

Cheers,
Shiv
