I got an E90 LCI myself and had a dyno baseline of quite exactly 305 hp (crank). I would only trust a MaHa dyno (the same that BMW uses themselves), the rest is not accurate enough. My guess would also be someone confused power at crank and at the wheels.

So bmw uses chassis dynos ? Since when ?

You guys crack me up, some of the comments are hilarious. I will be doing another baseline on a local Mustang Dyno as well, I never said I trusted those numbers, but it sure is an interesting result.

The dyno numbers you got is the ONLY numbers you can go by at this stage. Don't get sidetracked by some of the comments. A power run on a differnet dyno will be useful for you to gauge and compare the stock/baseline numbers. I have done it before and the second dyno numbers were a bit more realistic. So give it a second go.

My 2007 335 gave simillar numbers to what forum members have reported and some runs were even lower than the "normal" expected output. My 2009 335 is giving me numbers which are not quite "normal" simillar to yours. (too scared to show, imagine the reaction .
I only have 2 dyno choices where I live and hope to compare this weekend to find the middle or more balanced option - of course my problem now is, I have the BMW performance exhaust installed and a comparative dyno run will be useless- but will have fun on a different dyno anyway...

After all has been said and done, our dyno numbers mean shit on the street...

to me the odd part is the huge difference between HP and TQ on a stock dyno. Usually they are much closer together than that (like a difference of maybe 15, not 30). Be interested to see your Mustang Dyno results

BMW uses a engine dyno, not a maha, there dyno is pretty much state of the art, after tweaking it they also use another dyno that moves the engine in all angles and loads as if the car was driving on a track.

here is them testing a m3 engine.
