Air tools filters as oil catch cans?

I was at Sears today, and they seem to have a very nice quality Craftsman air line filter for $20 with a bracket that seems suitable. I am trying to find a picture on sears.com, but it doesn't seem to work at the moment for me. Does anybody think that air tool filters in general would be too restrictive in our application? It seems that Craftsman filter has a fluid catch can with a filter made of a block of porous brass.
