I was going to purchase some because I was told they would fit my e90. When I look on ebay a bunch of listings come up but will say like "H&R Race Springs for 97-99 Accord" or "for 93-95 Integra".

Even though it does not say "for e90", will the H&R Race Springs still fit?

If you go to the H&R, find the part number for the springs for your exact car, and search for "h&r part#" you should be able to find it pretty easily

You need to get BMW specific H&R Race Springs. They are entirely different for models within the BMW 3-Series range, let alone different vehicle manufacturers. We have these available for your E90 and can source the proper part number for your vehicle and factory shocks.

If you bought your car then you definitely want to upgrade the shocks along with the springs.
Leasing is a different story entirely ....

bumpy ass ride, or at least from what I read here. I was also on the same dilemma, to go with either sport or race. I just decide to go with sport for the just in case, and so it won’t scrape as much i guess... don’t quote me though do some searching..

The main issue with the factory shocks is that they will wear out sooner than with the standard OE springs so you will end up spending double the labor charges on springs now and shocks later.

You can expect your factory shocks to need replacement within a short time. The ride quality will be very poor ..... with the factory shocks not able to work properly you can also expect the tires to begin "cupping" very soon and often. You can't really do much with rotating these so expect tire replacement sooner than later.

Do yourself a favor don't get the race springs. If you need a lower drop then the H&R sport you should be looking at getting a coilover.

Those who lease as mentioned are a different story - they could care less when they turn in their car with blown shocks.

I'm not familiar with auto work at all..

and would this void my 100k mile warranty with BMW?

nevermind just found a cup kit.. when i thought i only needed springs.

and as i understand the warranty depends if the BMW dealership is an ass or not right?

Hi Javier,

I believe we just spoke over the phone about your suspension but the warranty issue is on the dealer to prove aftermarket suspension is causing an issue. I can't think of one time when a customer had issues with getting warranty service due to aftermarket suspension as in most cases, the aftermarket suspension components are better performing and higher quality than the OE setups.

If you are REALLY worried about the warranty then get the BMW perf susp. Those are probably not low enough for you, though.
