Optimum Hyper Compound (Too Aggressive on OEM Paint)?

I have some dried water stains and fine line scratches embedded in my sapphire black car. I tried poorboys 2.5 with my porter cable and the marks did not come out.

Should I switch using Optimum Hyper Compound along with my polishing pad to remove the water stains and fine line scratches? Are this compound too aggressive on the OEM paint? or should I try using Optimum Compound to remove them. The water stains and hairline scratches are not very serious but I just want those ugly stained marks to be disappeared on my car.

I tried using Scratch-X but it did not help much.

It's not too aggressive at all in fact it might not even remove the water stains. I tried the Hyper Compound/orange pad/PC this weekend on our black Pilot and it left a few water stains behind. It did remove most of the scratches/swirls, however. In fact, I hit a few water stains with OC and a yellow pad and still couldn't get it. If you ask a pro and get an answer on the water spots please post back here...

I did search the topic regarding the etched water spots, some people used Chemical Guys Water Spor Remover / vinegar with distilled water.
