Ok, so since the car is MAP referenced, that means that it takes the 14.7 PSI sea level pressure, then adds the 8.5 PSI manifold pressure and come up with 23.2 absolute. So at my elevation there is 12.5 PSI of air pressure. Will the car then boost 10.7 PSI to the manifold to come up with the same (10.7 + 12.5) 23.2 sea level absolute pressure?

If so, how high up in elevation can the turbo's compensate? And with the XEDE won't there be more stress on the turbo's since there will have to be even more boost added due to the extra boost from the XEDE and less air pressure (-2.2psi) do to elevation? Thanks!

So does anyone know if the 335i maintains full boost at high altitudes? I have been trying to find the answer but no one seems to know

My wish list is for a medium performance map. So instead of the stock map of average of 8.5, how about a +1.5 lbs of boost matching the stock map exactly with fuel to match?!

There is a road over here in VA called Skyline Drive and it runs along a mountain range. I had a boost gauge in my 1.8T while cruising it this one time, and noticed as I reached the highest peak of the road that the boost pressure indicated by the gauge was noticeably higher than the normal level it stays at. ... yea, I just felt like sharing. Sorry I couldn't remember the numbers on altitude nor psi... I feel useless.

- Stock (Valet, Dealer, Spouse)

- 91/93 Octane (Daily Driving)

- 100 Octane (Track)

So if the XEDE can hold 2 maps, can it also do a bypass? So there would be a bypass that would keep the car stock, then 2 additional maps?

I think you would have to physically disconnect it from your ECU, I have not read anything about a bypass.

As for me, I will be running the following:

93 - daily driving
100 - track

i am sure i read somewhere that the xede will go into bypass mode in the case of a fault, or if the power to it is interrupted i will see if i can find the post.... If this is the case, you just need to swich it off for normal operation.

i would also like to see it hold more than two maps, when i get my 335 this wil def be my first aftermarket purchase, ill get it either way but it would be nice


i also agree that a midrange map would be nice

what exactly is the limiting factor with the xede? its it mechanics that stop any more power from being produced or is it the creators deciding how much the would push it? if its mechanical and the engine is being pushed to its limit then i would definatly want a midrange map
