HPFP or not?

I have been consistantly getting long cranks in the morning for around a month now. They initally started at 2 seconds then the car would turn over now they are lasting 5 seconds. The car drives perfectly and after the long crank start in the morning the car starts right away for the rest of the day until the next morning. If it were the fuel pump wouldnt i get long cranks at every start? Let me know what you think.

If you read the posts on HPFP failure I think you'll gather that your experience is typical of a failing HPFP.

Im wondering if it could be a spark plug or a bad starter. I dont understand why im not getting long cranks on everystart.

More then likely, it is the HPFP. If it was something like a fuel pump or bad plugs, you would get it all the time.
