What do you guys think about this lease buyout? E92 335i
Thinking about purchasing this from a friend whose lease is coming up in 2 months. I know him well and the car has been taken care of, without any problems.
2007 E92 335i 32k miles -Premium Package -Sport Package -Navi -Steptronic Transmission Dealer is quoting $29,414, but in two months it should be around $28k....which I think is a pretty good deal. Anyone think its possible to negotiate more with BMWFS or ask for a free CPO? |

$28k is a good price for a 2007 335i with 30k miles and a great price for a CPO. I have been looking for a 335i for about a month now and came across 2 CPOs at $29k-$33k. Try asking for a free CPO. You have nothing to lose.

Not possible to ask for more with BMWFS, all lease buyouts are now handled directly through dealers as of about 5 months ago.
CPO sales are hot, so big discounts off of the contract buyout aren't common now. I think it's unlikely you'll get a much better deal. That said you should negotiate directly with the dealer to see if they will agree to turn the car right over to you, they can actually make more money selling the car to you than to the owner (they pay a premium for the car from BMWFS to sell it to the original owner). Hope that helps. |

I was at my local dealer for service yesterday and was talking to the manager who handles leases. Like everyone else has indicated, because BMW is losing so much money on the residuals it's probably going to be hard to negotiate money off but he also said they can and have CPO'd cars at no charge. I'm real curious to see how it works out for you as my lease is up in 6 months.Good luck.

Thanks for the responses guys, I spoke to a dealer and have gotten $1,400 off the residual and $1,800 to CPO the car. I can also take advantage of the current financing and 2 payments covered promo. I'm leaning towards going for the deal

sounds pretty good to me. I hope these deals are still around at the end of May.

update:
Just checked with another dealer this past weekend and was offered $28.5k including CPO, but not including tires. I countered with $27.5k and he said he would check with his manager and get back to me, but would like to wrap up the deal within a few days if they accepted (i think that usually means yes already )I verified with him that it is indeed still eligble for the 0.9 financing @ 48 months and first 2 payments are covered. What do you guys think? How much are a set of decent runflats? ![]() |
