pfft. The american 'workforce' is lazy and has been for a very long time. Exploitation is relative and I think the american worker needs to be exploited in order to get his ass in gear and do something. Suscks for him. I believe that unemployment is a great thing, but it is very widely abused and that should be stopped, as with most government handouts.

I had an irony that I liked as well, I had some hardcore Dem friends that were all Obama and change, then after he got elected they got fired (Probably should have realized their company does a ton of electronics work for the military). Obama was anti war so they downsized almost immediately. I thought it was funny to an extent, the change they got was definitely not what they were expecting. And come to find out there actually has been almost no change in the past year, their jobs were lost in vain.

I totally agree with the above, well thought out, and rational in its argument. In my opinion, many of the radically right posters on this forum don't really understand what it means to be a republican; they are just shit disturbers who happen to have a republican affiliation. Their behaviour and writing style are usually quite obtuse, ignorant and free of rational thought. With that being said, the people the OP is referring too are never going to admit that he has a good point, which is clearly evident when you read some of the responses to this thread.

Hey, at least he has justification for his discrimination. Sure hope the ones that got fired sued him for discriminating them based on their political beliefs.

Last time I checked, "political affiliation" wasn't one of the prohibited classes for discrimination.....

Let's see, from the EEOC website, "political affiliation" is listed exactly twice, indicating that the EEOC doesn't enforce that, but certain federal employees are so protected. It also indicates that some states may have political affiliation guidelines, but it doesn't list them out.

So, getting fired for an Obama sticker isn't an EEOC violation, but may be one at the state level.

Some folks will take the glass half empty philosophy, start firing the workforce and cut back on advertising. Others take the glass half full philosophy, increase advertising, gain a greater foothold within their markets.

My bet is you could have saved half of those jobs simply by not throwing money on advertising that isn't working.

There are better ways to solving economic problems than simple knee jerk reactions. No one who has been in President for the last 40 years has had any other role than simple pitchman. This includes Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and so on right up through the current president.

You can look at politics in this country very much the way you look at Pepsi and Coke. They each have different labels and a slightly different taste, but they are both still brown, both carbonated and both still soda. You aren't choosing between water and wine. It's the same result either way. It's still soda!

The agenda will always be the same until we look at other "brands" of political affiliation on a nationwide level. Until then, you are voting for whoever is selected by business as the best pitchman.

Is this a publicly traded company? If so, I'd be happy to short any company that lays off workers based on political affiliation rather than productivity. This CEO (if he exists) sounds like a complete clown.

This was the same guy who repeatedly tried to tell us that that economy was not in a recession and that the democratic dirtbags were exaggerating everything.

Now this same guy is scared shitless because he thought is job was secure. Not to mention that he has some health issues and now probably won't be able to afford or even get healthcare because what he has is considered a pre-exisiting condition. I won't even get into the stuff he said about healthcare, especially when he was probably thinking that he wouldn't lose it.

All I got to say is that Karma is a bitch. To all the hardcore right wingers on this site who have my friends type of mindset, I hope something like this doesn't happen to you because no matter how much I might disagree with you're politics, it's one hell of a lesson to learn from that I don't wish upon anyone.
