Here's a web site I found that will tell you when a ship arrived, and provides scheduled & actual departure info for the port in New York / New Jersey. Go here: http://www.nymaritime.org/ and mouse-over on "Traffic" just under the banner. You will see several options. As far as I can tell, here's the ones of interest:

* New York Arrivals is actual arrival times (and other info)
* Scheduled Departures is ... uh ... scheduled departure time

* New York Departures is actual departure time.
