Earlier this month Ferrari CEO, Mr Amedeo Felisa, confirmed that the 612 Scaglietti will be replaced by 2012, and this morning, CarAdvice have these renderings as proof of what the revised model is likely to look like.

The 612 Scaglietti has been on the market since 2004, and although very little is known about its successor, different rumours suggest it will get a new V12 engine packing around 400kW.

The new model will also offer improved fuel consumption and fewer CO2 emissions, and may also sit on a longer wheelbase.

Obvious visual changes include an extended front-end, slight bonnet bulge, different headlamps and different exhaust pipes.

I dont know what to think.
I know the 612 needs some front end tweaks to make it look meaner and more modern but these renderings are terrible. Looks like the next gen of Ferraris will all look extremly cheap and crappy.

thats just me, what do you think?

wow... the ducts under the headlamps make the car look not far off from the mazda 3

it proportion is worse than the m coupe the OP has.

Understood it's a rendering and will most likely be much different, but from those pictures it reminds me of a cross between a Mazda 3 and a Camaro SS.

The renderings remind me of the late TVR.

I think they're making it look like a bigger 599. It has the same lines and the rendering is essentially a photoshopped Fiorano. The 612 was hideous and too conservative, but it was unique.

Considering its all we have at this point in time, i'm pretty sure we can all comment on the rendering. Just because the car is 3 years away and likely to look nothing like this doesn't mean i have to be neutral about the drawing.

Im sorry, did me stating my opions about a rendering of a possible future Ferrari get you so upset you had to throw in a personal insult?

And yes the new Ferrari looks much more feminine and cheap compared to the 430. Ferrari should be about presence not understated like the italia is.

That's what I thought at first, but the first one I saw in person changed all that. It's not a very photogenic car

In person, the 458 has a ton of presence.

I thought the same thing man, but the 458 in person is just stunning.
It has a great presence like the 430 but for some reason it just exudes a mean stance.

I always loved the scaglietti, it had classic lines befitting a 4 seater ferrari. It's hard to tell anything about the new one from these renderings, though.

The Italia looks mad. Like something my 10 year old cousin would draw and that is what a supercar should look like, mind you.
