jeans staining the leather seats - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hello,

I just discovered that my dark blue jeans has started staining the leather seats(oyster leather) on my bmw.

I think it is a combination of using the heated seats and a new pair of jeans.

Any recommendations of how to clean the leather seats. I have got the smart guard protection cover from bmw. would the smart guard protection cover the staining?

should i get a seat cover?

I have always had good luck with the McGuire's leather cleaner on my Volvo leather seats. I would give them a try.

And next time, just make sure you wash your new jeans at least once to get rid of any extra dye that my still be on them.

try dabbing it with a little bit of rubbing alcohol. use something soft like a cotton ball and then use leather cleaner and conditioner.

Meg's leather cleaner is a cheap and readily available product that you can try first. If that doesn't work, you an progress up to the expensive leatherique rejuventaor an prestine clean that works wonders an should take it out.

try the leather cleaner that they sell at the dealer! IT WORKS WONDERS!!! ive tryed so many products when the same thing happended to me! that was the only thing that left the seats spotless! the sponge came out BLACK

I know the dealer stuff is the best, hands down. The McGuire's also worked well for me and was a lot cheaper.

The dealer stuff worked well for me in getting the blue jeans stain out. I've also heard that Leather Masters Strong works really well as well.

thanks for all the suggestion guys.

i used this product which came with the smart guard kit on my bmw. and the blue die came of like it was dirt on my hands. i am so happy. i have not cleaned it completely though but a friend of my just gave me a demo.
