substitute for P21S

I like P21S for my wheels, especially the gel formula. It really gets the job done, but its so expensive. Is there a cheaper alternative product?

Great alternative to P21S. We just got the gallons of the Diablo Gel Wheel Cleaner in stock as well.

It's great you can dilute the Diablo 3:1 or more for really light cleanings and still have it be an effective and safe product on virtually any wheel finish.

I've heard you can water it down, though I haven't actually tried myself

I dilute the P21s gel down a bit for my own use. When frequently washing my car in the summer, I don't need it full strength - it's just a waste. Soap/water (or ONR) usually does the trick, but I do keep a 3:1 diluted bottle of P21s around.

I use Diablo and it works great. But, if you maintain your car regularly, you should only need car wash soap and agitation. I use Diablo mainly on my wife's DD cuz I'm too lazy to put sealant on the wheels. On my M, which I maintain alot more frequently than my wife's X5, I try to only use soap and water cuz I just learned that diablo will strip the sealant.

I used it this past weekend. I did a 50/50 mix and it worked wonders. Couple sprays here and there. Awesome job. Did a wash with ONR and added some OTC wax and all my co workers believe that my car looks better than when I first recieved it. Extra comments on the wheels though!
