Rattling noise - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Today my bimmer started randomly. I was stopped at a drive thru and it started rattling. And also the check engine sign came on and went off...

also three little symbols came on. one that looked like a circle with wavy lines with two ( ) around it, engine oil sign (not the one with the wavy line at the bottom), and the symbol where the car is up on a lift.

how much would it be to fix all this? im not under warranty nemore

What Check-Control messages are stored or present?

Also, did the RPMs seem to drop at all when the engine started to rattle?
