Sent a PM today. No screws provided with the black CF set and the screws in the stock wood trim kit cannot be removed.Brown trim is the stock and the black kit with 04/06 is the black CF kit. Pics of rear driver side door trim.

A warning to anyone buying an interior trim set from this seller:
screen name: d3wa Michael Saputra 860 campus Dr #108 Daly City, CA 94015 I had quality issues with my set and he just ignored my PMs. After installing the center trim only, (a BMW tech friend at a dealer did it for me) the center dash piece started to bubble and separate after a few weeks. I repeatedly tried sending him PMs to handle this issue privately and get my money back, but he ignored me. He has gone on to sell additional sets. Perhaps my defect was a one-off. I gave him a chance to do what any honest seller would do and take back this faulty product. He has not returned my PMs. I want to make sure nobody else get's ripped off like I did. ![]() I only installed the center trim because I didn't have the correct pins for the dash and the door. Now I'm out $400 with this bubbling trim. Buyer beware. As you can see below there is one big separation on the center trim and more bubbling by the the base of the shifter. ![]() ![]() |

I purchased a set from d3wa right before this and installed it recently. As a seller he was responsive and shipped right away, items were packed well. I really hope that doesn't happen my set. Not encouraging that d3wa hasn't done the right thing for lank_link.
My issues so far are that I had to trim the tabs on the dash pieces to properly accept the tabs from the center vent. Also the center console is not an exact OE match in terms of the underside clips, so the cover took some shimming to get it to open and close properly. Some trimming may help. You get what you pay for I suppose. If it gets to bubble, I'll get it CF fabric wrapped. -Fabian |

Fabian G - $400 and if it bubbles you'll just "get it wrapped".
I don't expect a product to bubble and separate after a few weeks of use. This is unacceptable in my book and D3WA needs to be held accountable. I didn't buy all new CF trim so I could have it wrapped. I could have got my stock wood trim CF wrapped for less than $400 through many reputable vendors on this board. Please keep me posted on how your trim holds up. |
