Squeaky Ventilation

When I run the ventilation fan on my '06 E90 I can hear a loud squeak similar to a squeaky fan belt.

I'm sure the solution to this problem is fairly trivial, just lubricate, but the fan is buried beneath the dash and doesn't look easily accessible.

Has anyone come across an easy solution for fixing a problem like this? Id rather not take it to the dealership if I do not have to.

Thanks!

It sounds like it just needs to be lubed up, but like you already mentioned, it is not the easiest thing to get to. If you can get the fan out yourself, then you can lube it up and you will be good to go. If you don't think that you can do that, then you will have to pay someone to get it out, lube it, and then put it back.

Looks like I'll be heading to the shop to get it done then.

Sometimes, that is best. Let us know how you make out. Also, I am curious what the dealer will charge for something like this.
