it depends on what version of the JB+ you have. If you have the older one with the switch, you can do something similar to our diagram above, except you need to power the switch with a 5V source instead of 12V.

If you cant find a 5V source you can use a 12V, but will need a 3.3V resistor in line.

This would allow you to only inject when flowing correctly, if you turn the lower map on ,it will disable the meth but you will see boost. If you want to run meth on both maps just set the cmgs to inject on boost only.

Yes thats what i thought... but i was asking about long term... Obviously because the levels are much smaller when atomized/burned quickly it wont be as bad as if it was just sitting there in our engine but over years, who can tell.... can anyone give insight on this over say, 10 years?

Any effects on our catts btw?

Im also thinking of what parts will be touched by the meth, intake pipes/manifold, valves, then the cylinder walls and top of the piston, orings? I assume after that its burnt and then out the exhaust, through our turbos..

yes I know but in trying to figure out that is it even possible to do it way I told.

When meth is switched off and I've JB3 normally on map 3 and map 7 is the meth map. How I can be sure that JB3 won't switch to meth map (map 7) when meth is switched off?

If the meth system is turned off, there is no voltage signal being sent to the JB3 to "allow" it to switch maps. So it will stay on map 3. You can hook a laptop up to the JB3 if using 2.0 and confirm this, but there is no visual/audible confirmation on the dashboard or anything. You will just need to datalog when you first get everything installed and be confident in your tune and installer

Do I hook it to OBD port or directly to JB3? Mike told me that there's some kinda "special" cable for it. So I can see it from laptop while driving?

Bavarian Techniq diagnostic scanning tool is connected to the OBD port... the new JB3 2.0 cable is connected directly to the JB3 and hooked to your laptop.

Thanks, I detailed that earlier. You can switch based on flow with most of the JBs. If your JB is the older board that has the input for the toggle switch to switch maps the CMGS can switch maps based on flow with that version. The new version will be doing it as well, but using a different output from the CMGS.

Since the JB is going to switch maps based on the CMGS reporting back the flow, if the meth is switched off, it cant switch maps.

This has to do with the way the map switch is setup. The failsafe systems are setup to output 12V only when the flow reaches a set window. What that means is the JB3 or Procede sees the 12V signal from the failsafe and changes maps. That also means at 0V, it defaults to the set pump map. Remember even if the system completely failed it would output 0V, so there is really no way you could get stuck in the methanol map. Actually if anything went catastrophically wrong then you would be stuck in the pump map.
