Downpipe install in Adelaide?

Well my AR Racing downpipes arrived last week and my mechanic started the install based on the instructions in the DIY.
He ended up giving up, saying that he needs it on the hoist for the whole day.
I was just wondering if anyone else has done this in Adelaide.
My other option is to drive to Melbourne, but I am not one for long boring drives.

Xsboost had some issues with his to start if I recall correctly with so maybe ask him for some advise? If you want his email pm me.

One thing worth asking have these been tried before on an e93 DTC, may have more space issues that someone like Andrew from SBM could sort out easier than your local guy's.

They are a nightmare to install on RHD 335's.

It'll take a good 4-5hrs. What's the issue's he's having? Mark325 and myself have done it 2 or 3 times now.

Its a nightmare to hook up on RHDs for sure, coupled with a E93 chasis, it makes it even a tighter fitting since verts are just a drop different than the coupes as far as the space to fit the 3 inch pipes....It can be done but needs alot of patience and persistency...Good luck...

Dont touch it.... dont even look at it...

I wont lie to you one of the most pain staking installs ever. Its very very fiddly, You have next to no room to work in. Give it to the mechanic for the whole day and bite the bullet. If its harder on the verts than the coupes it must be border line impossible.

Wow........I hope you got RHD DP's from AR Design because a few of us had issues with the ones Andrew sent. Lucky xsboost made him aware of the o2 sensors touching the steering column and they apparently have been modified. I say apparently because I'm still waiting since Nov/Dec 09 to receive mine.
ps. Just got confirmation of a impending Fedex Delivery.

I did get a confirmation directly from Andrew (AR Designs)that these are RHD ones that fit. They were on back order for ages. I ordered them from **********s on their Black Friday sale day and got them last Thursday.

However, I got my Helix Intercooler in OK.

I hope the ones from **********s are the ones I helped AR to revise to fit RHD, rather than 6 month old stock from the shelf. They were apparantly RHD friendly previous to this, but to Mark's and my frustration, they weren't. Can guarantee though that all the new ones from AR are RHD safe. E93 could be tricky though...

Anybody know what it would take to gut the Originals, Because it may be the easier option for those with Verts.
