Why can't I buy a BMW with my choice of tires?? Or at least make non-run flats an option.

How about a 1 Series lightweight stripper or "club" version with BMW performance brakes, BMW performance exhaust, BMW performance intake, BMW performance suspension, LSD, some lightweight body parts and BMW performance seats standard???...oh wait, it'd be a 911 killer, never mind dumb question

Will BMW Performance ever extend its product line to the M3 in a more meaningful manner? Right now, they only offer the performance wheel.

Great questions everyone! So far I have great material to work off.

Keep the questions coming!!! And chime in what you would be willing to pay for an LSD!

I second this question wholeheartedly, but will reword it to the following: Why no BBK or improved brakes available for the E9X M3 yet?

I looked at Tischer and a stock 335i differential (part no. 33107571187) can be had for $1300 (MSRP is ~$1600)

A stock M3 differential (part no. 33102283006) can be had for $2150 (MSRP is ~$1800).

So a BMW Performance Differential should cost somewhere in between, let's say $1800...

The cost, quality, and professional installation are certainly serious considerations. The cost is difficult to guess right now, since the installation of an LSD on late issues of 3-series requires re-machining of the existing parts in order to install an aftermarket LSD. If machining is not done competently, the installation may lead to problems later on. Clearly, engineering skills of BMW would be preferred here, as being more reliable and allowing the modified car to stay under warranty.

I don't think that a supposed LSD from BMW Performance would involve any other things than swapping the entire final drive (pumpkin). It would be too hard and risky to do the actual diff replacement inside the pumpkin.

-Will there be a Power Kit for the new N55 on the 2011 135i?? if yes how much HP gain will it give??
-Why dont make and Stage 2 Power Kit for the 135i, 335i im sure almost everyone would stick with it.
-Why dont they develope a kind of Power Kit for the e92 M3, also a more racer exhaust, intake, etc , so the M3's can gain power, again im sure almost every M3 owner would stick with this upgrades.
-And at last im with most users thinking they should get prices down!!

Good Luck

Whatever it costs, up to like 4-5,000 installed assuming it's as good as the one in the M3. Enough with this protecting the M3 from competition within the brand business, why does it matter if BMW sells more 335is than M3s? I think the profit margin on each is similar and if they sell less M3s that would help them regain their exclusive image.

#1 LSD for a reasonable price, $1800 only if its a clutch type, no more than $1500 if it isn't. It shouldn't be too pricey since the production runs on such a part are going to probably be greater than what Wavetrac could produce (though I am still waiting on Wavetrac at the moment for their automatic differential).
#2 make such things as boost pressure, tire pressure (for all four tires individually, hell Dodge's and Chevrolet's have it on their cars that cost far less), oil pressure, air/fuel ratio, voltage, etc available as added menus on the Performance Steering wheel. If none of those, at least boost pressure and oil pressure. If not maybe a gauge cluster where the ashtray is currently located. (no more than $)1000 for the cluster and gauges (no more than $100 if the panel is made out of carbon fiber).
#3 Make non-runflats an option with a kit similar to ContiComfort. Make the M series tires available for non M cars. Non-runflats should be made standard, with runflats as a convenience option.
#4, Performance seats with harness and harness bar. (no more than $1000 for each set, no more than $2000 if fitted with airbags as standard) should probably use same setup and type of seat as (featured in the M3 GTS.
#5 Uprated performance turbos (i.e. bigger turbine wheels or a sequential system, one small turbo for daily driving scenarios and one big one for when you get on it) or software (reflash of the current Performance Power Kit) Cost is up to BMW, no more than $3k but must make significant gains (around 400hp/400 ft.lb. torque)
#6 Make real lightweight wheels, the style 313s aren't that light and cost more than wheels that are a good 6 pounds lighter.
#7 A bolt-on rollcage (4 or 6 point ) would be nice to see (no more than $1500 primed and painted)
#8 A strut bar that actually clears the stock airbox, its not fair the 128i get it when most of the performance minded buyers own cars with the turbo motor. Also a rear strut bar would be nice to see.
#9 An intake kit similar to Dinan, still a closed intake, but with a cold air intake (something that can also route around the BMW Performance Power kit) or a ram air intake sort of like the one on the M3, with hood as well.
#10 Vented hood, with possible closable vents either by user or automatically as with the rain sensors.

Great questions so far! I have begun filtering them from most likely to happen to least likely.

LSD is first and parts requiring DOT crash testing are last.

A BMW Perf. LSD (priced around $1,000), a BMW perf. front mount intercooler (also priced around $1,000), and maybe an exhaust system that actually increases power (cat-back)
