335 jb3 vs rs6

2007 335 sedan w/ a jb3 and stick, 52,000 miles

should i trade up (or would it be down?) for an 03 audi rs6 w/ 35000 miles

or just stick with my car.

the rs6 would probably cost 2-3000 out of pocket. but w/ a chip it would push about 530hp/500tq

Unless you have the 100k BMW warranty, it might be more affordable to get the Audi.

I'd stick with the Bimmer... or maybe go a step higher if you just wanted a new car.

+1, if you are out of warranty, it's gonna cost you about the same to maintain either the audi or bmw.

i would go with RS6, more classy and that is really a beast. and you can cruise comfy in that thing too!

If you can deal with having an auto, the RS6 is the auto to own. In a couple years, it will probably be worth more than the 335 too.

How much faster will your commute be with that 530 hp? Is the extra $2-$3000 worth shaving off those few moments?

I like the RS6... Quite a lot... Chip that thing and you can literally beat most everything on the road... Though it is automatic, I would still pick it over the 335i.

If you go with the RS6 make sure you budget for a suspension replacement. The stock DRC suspension is garbage and will most likely be shot if it's still stock. You'll need to replaced it with aftermarket. If you though your 335i is unreliable, wait until you own a turbo Audi out of warranty.

I went with the 335 because it's an "Eco" drive.
I was looking at the E60 M5 and the 335 and went with the 335 primarily because it uses less gas. It was also about 12 000 U$ cheaper which did also help my decision. All M:s are great for active driving and to loose your license, the 335 is rather inviting when cruising which I do most of the time.
Now, it's not because of the money I don't like a car to suck fuel, but more because I don't feel good burning almost twice the ammount of fuel to go faster.

Ok, the M5 is a beast, as is the Rs6 but you have to stop for gas a lot in either.
