CDV or SSK dont know

Hey all,

I was about to drive to work the other day but I couldnt put it in reverse. I got my ssk installed about two weeks ago but everything was working fair. Last weekend I took out the cdv and I dont know what it is? but when the car is off its very easy to put it in gear. Only when the car is on its hard to put in reverse and first but every other gear is cakes.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated

I'd give the shifter a look, sounds like there may be some binding going on? Can't imagine the CDV delete producing that behavior but I guess who knows.

I wouldn't think the CDV either.

Is it hard to put the shifter over (past first)? Or you can move it over but not up?

Is this from a stop? If so thats just how manuals are from time to time. Let the car roll a little and see if gear engagement gets better for reverse or 1st.

What if you let the clutch out in neutral, then put it back in and quickly shift into reverse? Or try just slightly letting the clutch out as you're trying to shift?

Reverse has no synchros but I've never had this problem as you describe it. It certainly shouldn't be happening every time.

Hey one think I just thought of. Even before I did the CDV delete on my own car I would run into an issue where Reverse wouldn't easily go into gear. I got around this by very slightly lifting up on the clutch when attempting to put into reverse and it slides right in. This is when the car is on of course because I to don't have any issues when the car is off.

Not sure if that is what you are experiencing but I thought I'd share.
