Any Long Term Storage Tips?
Well, Im the only person who drives my car and I'll be leaving for at least 3 months..
Is there any tips that someone may recommend? Maybe those guys who have summer/winter rides and have to store their cars away for the winter.. My parents will also be around.. how often do you think I should tell them to drive/start the car? 1-2 a week ? Thanks in advance! |

If they drive it make sure they get it nice and warm before they shut it off.

One of two things. As previously suggested, fuel stabilizer/battery tender/pump up the tires. And before parking it get the oil changed.
Or just have it driven every two weeks or so. And really driven -- get it up to temperature and keep it there for at least 10 or 15 minutes. I prefer the latter, and do this with two older cars, my snowblower and lawn mower. Regular operation is better than cold storage. At least in this Internet opinion. |
