Today I was in central london, oxford street and the like, saw a few 335i's and M3's, but then behind an E46 M3 convertible was a convertible "318ci ///MPower M3" and a Mondeo TDCI TypeR, just wish I could of got pics, it was hilarious, especially watching the convertible E46 318ci trying to tail and M3, its obviously not an M3 to enthusiasts anyway, but when you're behind the real deal you just seem like much more of a tool.

Colleague at work has an E46 330i saloon, '52 reg debadged with just ///M, Its an M sport but still he can't get away with it, he even had the cheek to tell me it was an M3!

For all the shame of the badges - this is surely another level of clownage - actually trying to tell people you've got an M3 when you haven't. Dreadful.

I nodded and laughed and was like, its a four door though? And he was like it was a limited run M pack and I tried not to laugh (he's superior at work) and said I'm sure its decently quick, and walked off.

I might just run his plate on the DVLA database and leave the printout on his desk with a sticky note, let him know I know hes bullsh*tting haha.

I don't know how you managed not to tell him tbh. I wouldn't have been able to hold back and I'd tell everyone around the office.

He obviously feels 'inferior' to say and do all that with his car..........got him, that's his achilles heel. Upper hand to you I'd say

How's about changing the DVLA records to officially show he's got an M3 - then he'll have to pay £400+ road tax and his insurance renewal will shoot up - if he's claiming it's an M3 then may as well pay for one (apart from the mpg!!!).

^^^I like this idea - To complete his 'M3' you could siphon his fuel down to 1/4 of a tank every lunchtime and get his local garage to charge him £1000 for his next routine service interval.....the fun to be had is endless!

Ive seen loads in the past week.
Does anyone else think ac sphincter badges on a 318d e36 is in similar territory? I have seen a few of those as well. Vader seats eh? yummy!
