Same as rep rims, you want to look like you have the real thing and save a lot of money doing it. Many people do this......

True... but it's hard to understand their logic. Your normal everyday person wouldn't know what it was so they wouldn't be any more impressed than if it didn't have the ///M badge. And the people that do know what an M is and appreciate can instantly tell that you're driving a fake and now you just look like a tool. It's a lose/lose situation.

Seriously though.. I wonder how they justify it to themselves.

I have actually seen a Dealer do this. They sold the upgraded steering wheel and rims and then put an M logo on the car.
