Freesat box advice
About to set up new home in France and I've been looking into Freesat technology.
The Panasonic High Def HDD boxes look good but get mixed reviews on Amazon - the HUMAX HD box with 500Gb drive seems to be the way to go. Any advice? I've got a fairly recent plasma, so I'm not changing TV at the moment and am looking at boxes. The 320Gb HUMAX is £230, the 500Gb is £300. Are they basically the same? Not sure I need the extra memory for £80, but if the 500Gb is faster etc. I may splash out. Need to order tonight really, assume its cheaper in UK (most things are now), and need to get it before removal blokes come next Thurs. |

The 320gb/500gb relates to the amount of storage space available for recorded TV programs. Should be exactly the same apart from that.

Do they record in HD or does copyright protection degrade a recorded picture? Probably need to ask on AVForums.... |
