BMW is certainly able to custom manufacture nearly anything to high standards, and surely everybody wishes them good luck. Similar approach has been tried by other companies with mixed success. Many people have noticed that BMW cars lately seem to have increasing reliability problems; these in general are not served well by further diversification.
