iPhone 3 screen replacement
If you have a cracked screen (LCD underneath is ok), it's fairly easy to replace.
Ordered a new screen for £15 from Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...ef=oss_product Didn't need the majority of tools, just the two screwdrivers and suction cup. Searched youtube for a guide and found this: Took about 90 minutes, worst bit was unsticking the existing glass, but otherwise was pretty straightforward. There is a delicate rubber seal that runs around the edge of the screen that got a bit damaged, but can't see this with a case on. Lots of brownie points earned ![]()

I've done the same Ed, fiddly old job but perfectly do-able. Youtube videos were very helpful.

My volume button on the side of the phone is broken, will they change it under the insurance?
