cp-e 135i / 335i FMIC + Oil Cooler Group Buy! Lowest Price ANYWHERE! $729

cp-e 135i / 335i FMIC + Oil Cooler Group Buy! Lowest Price ANYWHERE!

ar design is extremely excited to offer you guys an exclusive group buy on the cp-e front mount intercooler and oil cooler combination for the 135i and 335i. You will NOT find a lower price anywhere, PERIOD! And, because the price is so low, we can only make 20 units available at this price.

Some more information on the FMIC, and what it can do for your car:

Thermal Efficiency is the name of the game and we came to play. cp-e™ has always strived to be innovators in the automotive industry and we have created a product that separates our FMIC from all other solutions.

At the heart of the FMIC, we feature a 3” thick bar and plate design that is capable of supporting up to 750hp. We also provide replacement piping for pre and post-intercooler piping. The 135i/335i intercooler is measured at 4” x 6” x 22” which is a substantial upgrade from the stock unit. We opted for this size to maximize surface area while minimizing the cutting required for the end-user to install. While there is no trimming required for the 335i, on the 135i application, we require a little cutting for proper fitment. This is detailed in our installation guide. Our FMIC posted a staggering 83% efficiency @6800 RPM whereas the stock unit was 58%. We could say our intercooler is 95% efficient but that isn’t a relative portion of the test and we believe it’s misleading.

In addition to this FMIC, we have also engineered an oil-cooling unit that is mounted on the FMIC to alleviate all notions of the N54 stock oil cooling not being sufficient under heavy driving. So for the price of the competition you also get an oil-cooling unit on top of an upgraded intercooler.

With the growing need to provide qualitative data, cp-e™ has made it a priority to do vigorous testing on our FMIC and provide the public with a full synopsis of how our FMIC performs under various driving conditions. To capture this information, we used our BlackBox logging utility. It’s a telemetry logging system that uses both a 3D accelerometer and a GPS to indicate vehicle speed and position over time.
Additionally, the system features 8 analog input channels which have been populated with a series of temperature and pressure sensors so we can see exactly how the intercooler performs under real conditions!

Need more analysis? We’ve published white papers for all the technically savvy gear heads located in the link below.
We feel that all information we’ve used to analyze this product should also be available for public consumption to assert our claims of having one of the best intercooler solutions for the BMW market.

Heat soak and overheating oil from your OEM equipment is a thing of the past. With the cp-e™ FMIC and oil-cooling kit you can step into a new level of power and performance with your N54.

Performance data / White Paper: http://www.cp-e.com/sites/default/fi...es/n54FMIC.pdf

Installation instructions are attached at the bottom of this post.

Gah! Just bought mine/had it installed last weekend! Wish I would have seen this earlier.

The FMIC is sick!

Question for you, Andrew, does your radiator fit with this FMIC/OC combo?

I have had three different oil situations:
first: no oil cooler (xi with 17's). Temps could get up to around 275 when driving very hard
second: oil cooler retrofitted by BMW. Temps could get to around 260-265, which was a nice improvement, and I was satisfied.
now: bmw and cp-e OC. Have been driving like an absolute maniac in 100+ degree humid DC weather with the a/c on 60 and full fan speed. I cannot get the temps above 250. I have been trying and trying, and it usually hovers around 245 when driving hard. Needless to say, I am very impressed! I am excited to try autocross again with this setup!

I am very happy with the intercooler. The car feels just like it did during the wintertime. When it drops the gear on the highway the thrust is unbelievable. The car just rips to triple digit speeds.

I was planning on adding another oil cooler, whether VK or AR, but there is simply no need anymore! I am using the money that I saved in order to get the AR radiator!

If anyone has any other questions about this intercooler let me know. In a nutshell, this FMIC/OC is an amazing piece, and at this price it is simply the best way to go.

P.S. Andrew, get together a package deal for xi ceramic coated DP's and the radiator! My warranty is almost out, and I want this car to haul.

I was totally down with this GB then I realized that like straightplaya, i have an XI with the 17s originally and no OC so I have to pay the $739 and then another $649. That adds up quickly.

I'm about to buy an OEM oil cooler kit off of someone. How labor intensive is this install (oem kit + IC + OC) going to be?

You don't have to use the oil cooler.

I want to use the oil cooler though. I don't mind putting some wrench time in. The oil temperatures do bother me since I plan on holding on to this car for a while and cooler oil temperatures will help the longevity of the car. If I'm going to pay for it I might as well use it right!?

I am going to put the deposit down on this so count me in.

Hey Andrew.. is the list of buyers in the first post up to date?

I am very interested, but hopefully 16 or more people buy… this group buys are adding up...

I wonder, if there are many here who want to buy but are waiting to see how many people buy? Could ya’ll at least convey your interest here so we can get a feel of how many will buy?
