to keep or not to keep...
Hey guys,
I currently have an 06 330i sport 6spd. The car has 64,000 on the clock and has the CPO and Maintenance plan until May of 2011. Little history: -Bought the car with 48,000. -Top end rebuilt @ 52,000. -Clutch put in @ 55,000. -Differential put in @ 60,000. -Maintenance done @ 62,000 (brakes all around, oil service, air and cabin) -Currently in the shop having a transmission put in it... See where I am going with this? I don't know if I just got the runt of the litter or what. I do not drive the car harder then any other BMW driver out there. My wife has an 07 328i coupe sport 6spd and her car is flawless as of now. My question is should I throw in the towel in May and purchase a newer BMW (looking at new Z4 or 335iS) or keep her considering all the stuff that has just been done on it and just pay the thing off? Any similar stories, comments, suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! Tom |

Sh*t, you've effectively replaced nearly all the key mechanical bits. Have you seen any signs that the engine will just fall out of the car? If not, were I you, I'd keep it at this point.

+1 keep, the major problems are over. Fingers crossed.

For most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the BT Tool or Peake Research Tool. They contain the actual BMW codes as opposed to a generic OBII scanner. Pays for itself on the 1st scan. http://www.bavariantechnic.com/ OR
http://www.peakeresearch.com/ (less expensive, but does not reset battery info) |

Man I have not had any of these issues. Mine only has 46,xxx. I would agree to keep it since it will be like a new car.

That's a statistical thing.... I would dump it. This car must have been seriously abused.
