07 E90 sedan H11 fog light HID conversion questions

Ok, so I'm new here, and I'm trying not to repost a topic that's been beat to death, but I've searched for answers to my specific questions/problems, but to no avail. Hopefully some of you super knowledgeable guys can help me out here!! I bought a used H11 HID conversion kit from craigslist, and attempted to install it on my car. Hindsight being 20/20, I should have done more research before purchasing a general xenon kit. I've been building/repairing cars for most of my life, so I consider myself fairly knowledgeable when it comes to mechanics, but I'm a definite amateur when it comes to electrical systems. I got the same result as many others that have done this conversion, strobing lighs, low beam out warning, etc. I tried several of the fixes out there, including a 10w 100ohm, and a 25w 6ohm resistors, but that did nothing to remedy the problem. So then, just to try it, I wired in my old H11 bulbs to run with the HID's, thinking that would provide the required resistance, and I would just tuck the bulbs back behind the fenderwell, but that didn't work either!!! I still got the same strobe effect when I started the car. Mind you, the fogs work perfect with the ignition on, and the engine stopped. Also, with the factory bulbs wired it seems to be overloading the system, and everything shuts off after about 15 seconds of being on. I thought that I blew something, but after I turned the car off and back on, everything was still cool. So, after reading more posts, I came across one that said if my build date was pre 03/2007, I was going to need a harness, and a few other things. Ok, so what kind of harness?? What other things?? I found this on a website. Will this solve my problems??

Any help on my situation would be greatly appreciated. I really like the look of the HID's, and if I can keep the kit that I have without dumping to much more money into it, that's how I'd like to go. Oh, and hello to all of you @ E90post. This is a great site, and I'm glad that I finally joined!!!
