Ugh - 19x10 et38 Wont Fit an LCI e90 Rear?
I have been spending countless hours working on what setup I am going to go with and I was fairly certain that the VMR VB3 19x10 et38 with a 265 was a sure fit on the back of an 09 M Sport. Now I am told by a vendor here "there is no way on stock".
The conflict of information here is frustrating. I understand different tires and all that but there must be someone.... Is there someone with an e90 LCI running a 19x10 rear without fender roll here? Does anyone have real life experience with this setup? -Seed Last edited by Seed; 09-17-2010 at 01:08 AM.. |

Not sure if that's true, I have 19x9.5 ET42 with 275 tires and I still have about 10-15mm clearance from the fender. This was on non-sports suspension though.
Update: some pics of the clearance: |

You're definitely going to have to roll your rear fender your planning to lower your E90 LCI and want to fit the 19x10 ET38. If your at a stock height, you'll be cutting it close.

I have 19x10 ET38 on my pre-LCI. The LCI track is 8mm wider on each side so that would be the same as a 19x10 ET30 on a pre-LCI right? A lot of people are running 19x10 ET25 on their pre-LCIs with just a minor fender roll and 265s so I don't know...

That sounds about right actually. But the most important part of all that is that if you go with the 19x10 ET38, with a 265 then you're probably going to still need to roll the fenders a bit to make everything work properly.

19x10 +38 with a 265 can work on a LCI with a slight fender roll if you plan on lowering the vehicle. You should be fine at stock height if you run a rounded sidewall 265 tire.

This is equivalent of a 19 x 9.5 ET33 right??? If we are taking it on a 9.5 wide perspective of course.

I thought e90 could run MORE aggressive than e92. Is that not right ?
I have a 2011 e92 with 19x10 +37 with a Michelin 265 (same measurements as Nitto and Toyo 275) and I stuffed mine today and had a full finger width clearance. So much clearance in fact I am putting 275 Michelins on next week. |

This thread alone is proof as to the confusion.
To migkegron. I believe the e90 LCI is the same as the current e92. The pre-LCI had more love. But it's good to hear you with a 19x10 et37 have some space. Makes me feel more confident with my risk. See |

Cool Mike. I went with a Hankook 275 so we'll see. If I have to roll I have to roll. We'll see in two weeks!
Did that 265 sit well on that 10"? Seed |

The Michelin 265 sits ok. That is what that picture is. Michelins have a nice deep bead also so it helps in the appearance. If the tire has a shallow bead the wheel will stick out past the sidewall.

Here's what I would do ... you have a ton of vendors posting in this thread. Add Zoeb at wheel dude to the list for those in California. I would bet at least one of them has a set on their "shop car" they will test fit for you. Which ever one goes that mile for you ... give that one your money. My 2 cents.
But I think you'll be fine. I bought mine on blind faith. Being in CA, you don't have to. |
