BEST Radar + Jammer Combo

Anyone have any suggestions?

I know the Valentine V1 is a very well liked laser/radar detector, but what is a good Jammer?

TIA!!

Do some research on http://www.radardetector.net/forums/ and http://www.guysoflidar.com/ and you'll come to same conclusion. Blinder is #2 and $200 cheaper, but it does not perform as well. Buy the most current version directly from the US distributer on thier website. Some of the older versions you'll find on ebay do not cover some of the latest laser guns.

It's not cheap but neither are the tickets and insurance premiums some of us would have to pay if we got tickets at the speeds we drive.

The Escort is what many chain car audio stores sell. The performance on these is pretty spotty relative to the other major jammers.

The passport 8500 X50 does not include laser jamming. Unless you are talking about the Escort Passport Shifter ZR4, with which it is compatible. The X50 detects laser, but that is certainly not its strong suit. That being said, the X50, the 9500 and the V1 are all decent for just radar, even if chain stores do sell it. I think Epic 404 is right on the laser.

Those websites are partially right...Rocky Mountain and Phazer are two highly advertised jammers that do not jam at all, stay far away from them.

However, I can tell you with my first hand experience and all the of the published trials that Laser Interceptor, Blinder, Laser ProPark, and others mentioned on those two links i gave you work (some much better than others).

I have the escort x50 and it detects laser and all but its weird bc if I honk the horn the radar will detect laser! : Not sure what causes this

But anyway any radar detector will just give you a false sense of security. For it to pick up laser the cop has to be pointing it at you (at which point it is too late).

But for K and Ka its a good way to stay under the radar.

Keep in mind though that it is a radar detector NOT a cop detector. If a cop sees you hauling ass he can still pull you over regardless of whether his radar was on or not.

Cheers!

Which is why you get a police scanner

But if you're going, say, 60 in a 40, which is speeding, he won't be able to tell if he's on the other side (unless he has his radar on)

now, if you're going 80+, yeah sure...but if you see him turn around, you'd be an idiot to stop.. and an even idiot to keep the same street.
It's not that difficult to avoid cops if you know the area and have a good start.
Just find a relatively safe place to park; get out; and wait until it's clear.
Then if he sees you again claim it wasn't you (unless you're heavily modded and noticeable, then that makes things more complicated)

Rocky Mountain has the dubious distinction of being taken to court by the FCC for not working as advertised but causes sufficient interference to disrupt signals.
