Can you tell us when is the product expected to ship, if you join the $699 GB?

(Yes, I am in the Helix group buy and paid well over 3 weeks now, after having waited 2.5 months. Still waiting to get the IC)

Any update? It's been another week...

In answer to a couple of the above questions, it runs in parallel with the stock, which is why it would be impossible for it to increase the "pressure drop" at the same volume throughput.

Don't know if it can be used with scoops or not, but for me the issue is cooling so I won't be putting any more in front of the rad than I have to.

Don't know the latest status, just that they've recently moved and are getting everything set up in thier new shop.

Was out on the track again yesterday, and even in freezing temps (yes, there was several inches of snow on the ground when I left my house) I still hit 140C, and then limp mode (150C/305F) within 20 laps later in the day when the ambient was about 7C and the track had dried out.

I'm really looking forward to this cooler!

Great! Looking forward to that. I'll give my address again to yourself and EMS to speed up the process.

I'm not liking the new design... original going into the left wheel well was better. The new design reduces AC Condenser performance and stock radiator cooling performance...

The new design does not affect the AC whatsoever, and we have yet to see any evidence of the radiator being an issue either.

Quick and dirty install guide attached. We are going to do something quite a bit better as we get time in the coming weeks.

Do you guys have any numbers to showing the improvement over stock? I'm thinking about picking up this as well but would be interested to see how much improvement there would be.

Thanks

Just received my OC today Will be installing on Thursday.

I have 2 quick questions.

1) Where is the OEM thermostat located?

2) Is the additional cooler always functioning, or thermostat controlled?

Thanks

What is the size of the oil cooler (HxW). I see it is 2 inches thick. I do not have an oil cooler, so need to know the install instructions for the retro-fit as well.

Finally, an optimal solution for the now infamous oil temperature problems the N54 suffers from. Instead of replacing the factory oil cooler with a larger core, we have left the factory setup intact and added a SECOND core in the drivers side fender well, not just increasing but more than DOUBLING cooling capacity.

What is included?
  • Oil filter housing adapter CNC'd from billet aluminum - has 1/8NPT hole plug for temp or pressure sender, plug included.
  • Powdercoated fender liner vent
  • Setrab Oil Cooler Core
  • Mounting Brackets with rubber vibration dampers.
  • All necessary hardware
  • Powdercoated sheetmetal shroud with rubber edge seal for a proper fitment against bumper.
  • Oil feed lines made from lightweight braided hose (better + lighter than stainless, very similar to Aeroquip Startlite Hose or XRP Kevlar, eliminates abrasion issues) with black/nickel colored swivel fittings.
  • Retrofit kit available soon for those who do not currently have any oil cooler at all.
  • Quality products made right here in the USA!

Why is it better than the other 2 kits currently available on the market?
  • Uses a well known, highly respected, quality core (Setrab) instead of a no-name core.
  • Custom made and professionally assembled lightweight braided oil lines.
  • You do not lose factory oil cooler as with other kits.
  • Oil cooler surface area is not just increased, but more than doubled.
  • Easy to install.
  • No cutting of brake ducts.
  • Includes shroud
  • Includes Pre-Cut Fender Liner
  • Ability to add our upgrade kit that will allow you to run TWO Setrab cores for maximum cooling capacity!

Comparison:

Retail price is $1,199, however a group buy is now going for the next month (Until Feb 28th) at a one time only price of $899.

Please PM, call or visit our website at http://www.ardesign.info if ready to order!
