I HATE YOU ALL!

OK, not quite all. Just those of you who already have your E90 or who'll get it before I get mine. Those of you who'll get your car after me are OK.

It'll be born this week. Can't they just fax it to me? AAAAARRGGH! I hate waiting!!

OK, I feel better now.

Because for me and many of the folks on this forum, this is our first real luxury car and we are spending "a lot" of money on them. We want them to be perfect to our tastes.

I guess that is personal preference after all. Some people Ok of waiting torture. and other are not. After sales guy told me mid-Jan for what I wanted, I just went straight to show room floor... As a result I have basic 330i instead of loaded 325xi. No regrets :P

I have a lease that is up in a couple of months, so it works out perfect. I get to order the exact car I want and when it comes in I turn one car in and get exactly what I wanted. Does it really matter if it is a porsche, ferrari or BMW?

i know it aint no ferrari or porsche or anything, but it is the car you are gonna drive for a while so at least buy what you want. maybe the car they have availble is what you want. those are the lucky people. for me, the options i want wasnt available, so the only way is to order.

Well, it may be a basic car to you, but it ain't basic to me - $40,000 is a big chunk of change as far as I'm concerned and this will be the best car I've ever owned. If I'm going to spend that kind of dough, I'm going to get exactly what I want and not just settle for "relatively close." I'll spend years in this car and the two-month wait will be long forgotten. What I really didn't want is to spend those years wishing that I had waited to get the exact car I wanted.

I agree - Enjoy the order process and more importantly - Enjoy the ride when you get the car!

IN the meantime, you can kill time reading this board... I've spent too much time here and on the M5Board - My wife thinks I'm nuts.

Yeah, but look at it this way... when ours are run-of-the-mill to us you will be having that "new car" experience.

I received email today from my dealer my order would be arriving soon, but it did not mention any dates.

Owner's circle continues to state its on order.

The waiting is nerve wrecking...

I know how you feel. I still have another month to wait for mine.

The real problem is transitioning from a junker to a nice car like the 330i. You hate driving the beater and it's uncomfortable and slow and lame. Years ago, i went from a CRV to an s2000 and then BACK again to the CRV. That was horrible. The CRV is such a dreadfully boring thing to drive: numb and boat like and slow as sh*t (compared to the s2000, good lord!) and the seats are flat and uncomfortable to boot.

Now i'm having to wait in huge anticipation for the 330i to get out of driving this CRV dumpmobile. It's agony for sure, but i wasn't going to take a car off the showroom and pay more and i wanted a loaded car, which is not easy to find on a showroom floor. Plus, i wanted one that had a very recent build, so i could get the latest features and improvements and avoid some of the early build issues.

Good luck to ya....

The worst is having to wait 7 weeks after you already drove the thing in Europe, not to mention the 3 months before European Delivery. All in all, I waited nearly 5 months for my car, but it was sooooo worth it!
