Yay -- the ever busy Shiv has been heard from! He says 8-10 would be sufficient. From the above, we have 5 folks committed, and from PMs I have 1 more depending on timing. We need a 2-3 more. Folks? We're almost there!

Nope -- but that also depends on the dyno shop; I think we need a couple more people and then we can start nailing the date.

What I said over there may be useful over here, too

So if we have 10 folks, thats $115 ea. total; even with 8, its $127.50 (procede not included ). After placing the order with Vishnu, please use the other thread to sign up and send me a PM with real world name and number for coordination purposes.

I'll definately be down for this, so mark me as committed, though I'm installing Procede tomorrow and will just be there for the dyno experience.

Cool We have a date: 5/5!

We have a date: 5/5! We are on both Shiv's calendar and Fast Specialties' calendar. Yay! One small change: we will be leasing the dyno for the whole day @ $750 and splitting the cost; that way we preclude the "he got an hour and I only got 15 minutes" arguments. Folks can stay on as long as needed (within reason, of course ).

Those of you who were waiting for a date, please chime in. Also, those of you who haven't sent me realworld names and numbers, please send me a PM with that info for coordination purposes.

PROcede-ing nicely! Let's keep it moving!

Great job jon42. I will be buying you a beer on the 5th. Although procede + beer = hospital.

Talking

We are on the Fast Specialties calendar! Go to the following URL, click on next month (right hand nav under the calendar), then say you want to look at May.

http://home.fastspecialties.com/index.php

Also, we have a start time of 9am, so those of you traveling from afar don't have to get up (quite) as early .

Don't you mean 3 hours one way, two hours the other ? Maybe you could convoy down with normtrum from Bonney Lake?

Ya, personally the distance doesn't bother me, I plan on bringing my wife and staying in Portland for the weekend. Definately his choice on the distance, but I think I read that some of the guys from the Atlanta install drove 8+ hours each way! That's a bit far for me, I'd do about 4 hours tops.

I just got off the phone with David@Vishnu and he confirmed that this is an install + tune day. Outstanding.

Quick clarification: Like all the dyno days until now, there will be little if any custom tuning. Basically, we'll be installing the PROcede and then documenting your gains. If something is grossly wrong, of course, we'll make adjustments. But so far that, in over 100 cars that we've installed kits on in dyno days, that has never been necessary. The reason why we aren't individually mapping cars at this point is simply an attempt to keep variables minimal. The car is still relatively new and we don't want to risk having different cars induce different diagnostic codes and lose track of what we did. So far, our method seems to be working and I'd be hesitant to deviate too far from it. Just make sure you are running on good gas (this is the biggest contributor to the power you put down that day). So that means no Costco, Safeway, Raceway, Rotten Robbie, etc,.

Cheers,
shiv
