BMW Car Wash Soap
Have any of you tried this soap to wash your car. I was at BMW today and saw this. It's a green soap that says BMW Car Shampoo costing 9 bucks. Do you think it's worth it to buy. It basically is enough for 16 uses or should I buy another brand of car wash soap to wash my car? If so, can you recommend some soaps I should buy either online or at a store like Pep Boys. Thanks.

I have not personally used this product. So I can't say if it is good or bad. I've been getting all my detailing supplies from Detailed Image. Been using Optimum (OPT) No Rinse Wash for the past year and half and I love the stuff. If you want something with a lot of soap suds maybe you can try the Chemical Guys Citrus Wash. I am sure other members here have their personal favorites. You can get a lot of info in the wax and wash section of the forum.

It may be relabeled P21S if its from Germany.
For a good over the counter general carwash soap you might try Meguires 'Gold Class'. You should be able to a half gallon for that same $9. |

Its funny you say this. I saw it the other day too and immediately thought the bottle shape resembled the P21S car shampoo I have used. I am willing to bet it is P21S.

I suspected the same thing. I know they've used private labeled Einszett and I believe Sonax products in the past. They just sell it at a premium.
Nothing wrong with it, but you can find as good at a better price-as someone had said - Megs Gold Class is good.

It in fact is P21S soap. I believe BMW charges less for it than buying it under the P21S name so a lot of guys just buy it from BMW instead. That is, if you prefer P21S over other brands.

if its the older bottle/stuff, it is in fact P21S and yes it is cheaper and it is great!
![]() Now, if it is the new stuff (clear plastic bottle) in my experience it is total crap. No suds, unless you mix like 1/4 of the bottle, no lubricity, glides like you have regular wet sponge without any car wash. The whole "natural care" BS is geared toward those phags that think buying something "green" will save the planet, what a joke |

Good to know, I've used the BMW Shampoo about 75% of the time and love it, lately though I've gone back to using Gold Class. You save a little bit, but honestly the BMW stuff is really nice/easy to use and I feel like it beads up a lot better.
