Wii Goldeneye 007

Anyone got this yet?

Will it rekindle fond memories of the N64 original?

Saw this on the Telly. Has it been 'redone' or is it literally the same game ported over. I'd be worries you'd ruin your memories of the original now you're that 'bit' older.

If it's as good as the N64 one it'll be brilliant.

None of the 007 games since, on any platform, have come close. Though Wii QoS wasn't bad with a zapper!

I had it on the N64 and played it constantly while the wife (then girlfriend) was revising for her finals. Stopped me putting her off!

Great game that wasted many hours of my life. Also the last computer game I ever bought. Errmm - apart from Zelda.

It was a great game on the hardware of the time but I read the Wii version is NOT the same game as the previous. Not sure which is true though, ///ajd seems certain it is the same.

I'm not saying it's the same at all - it's the septic that's saying that. I've read in some reviews it is different. I'm asking any 30+ UK gamers who remember the original if it's "as good" - I really mean the gameplay as its enormous appeal was never about graphics on the N64.

Ps remember the Aztec moonraker level with lasers

Yankee Delta - do you have the game, do you remember the original?

I have the original and I'm 31. The game has slight deifferences
Story line is similar but some of the locations have been modified (for the better)
The characters are different.
James Bond looks like Daniel Craig and not Pierce.
Environments are destrutible.
Graphics and controls have been tweeked.
The end game is different too. It's now in Nigera and not Central America.

IMO opinion its a better game.

I was a student at the time and played it constantly on a projector that filled up the whole wall. Good times

Will pick up the new one no doubt and then have no time to play it

Ah I remember playing Goldeneye on the N64.
It was a great game, but for me, the best part was the 2 player element...i cant remember what the actual level was called, but trying to find and kill each other in the bunker (I think it was called that) was great fun
