How do I play music on my iPhone in my 323i. Connecting the iphone cable to the USB port does not work. Any ideas.

either use a regular stereo 3.5mm cable and plug it into the aux port
or
use the iphone/ipod interface, the 6FL cable available at your dealer for about $100

You need this to view the songs on your idrive and to listen to your iphone properly.

I got a used one off ebay for $30.

My iPhone 4 works in non drive with no problems using dealer cable.
