Bmw Winter Tyre Packages

Ordered a set of steel 16" wheels from my local dealer last Saturday, took details of the car etc no probs. I got a call on friday to say that they have arrived....oh joy!!!!

Got down there and after waiting two hours they finally admit to me that they do not fit!!!!!! and that they do not know why????
I came away from the dealer still on my summer tyres, and after ringing around other dealers it appears that the 16" steel wheels edo not fit any of the 6 cylinder cars due to the disc or caliper size.

Crap information shared with BMW.....and now I cannot get any winter tyres as everyone appears to have run out of stock!!

So warning to others who are looking at this as an option.

So the next option is 8x17 Star Spoke 158 Alloys with runflats @1420 and 3 weeks delivery...............

The BMW sticker on the drivers door pillar on my 320D lists the tyre and wheel sizes suitable for the motor.
That was my guide before I placed my order on 'mytyres' for my winter Conti's on 16" steel wheels.

When I had mine done 3 weeks ago dealer did say only the alloys would fit my 330d after checking the computer.

He did also say they were doing around 3-4 cars a day and that the while tyres where readily available the wheels were in short supply. Demand was much higher than expected.

Very pleased with mine.
