I've replaced the OEM's with Conti 5P's, and am running 34 front 36 rear after much faffing about - but I've no clue if this is best for longevity (the tyres, not mine!). This is on 19 inch 225/35 and 255/30's. Mike. |

But I would say the going from 255 to 265 does not make much if any visual difference to the tyre on the wheel.

Well the benefit is slightly more rubber on the road.
But the main reason it is discussed here is that Falken do not make a 255/30/19 - so you have to go for 265/30/19 on the rear if you want to switch

i currently use bridgestone RFT but will prob get Falkens next i ran them for 5 years on couple of 330 e46 cars i had with 19 inch alloys. they ran great and great value never had any probs with quality of them. and does not throw speedos out on the e46 or e90s.
