restoring 01' 325

a friend of mine bought a used 01' 325. seeing the car, its beat up, front grilles are loose, paint is beat, car got keyed, dents in various places, absolutely horrid. what little things can i do to fix the minor things on this car?

I'd say consult with a quality professional detailer in your area for better ideas. There's no way to tell you a good opinion without seeing the car in person. Someone that has good experience bringing cars back to life could at least point you in the right direction.

1. how big are the dents? If bigger than a door ding you're looking at bodywork or panel replacement

2. How deep are the scratches? Are they down to primer/metal? if so you're looking at a respray.

I hope he got the car dirt cheap because you're looking at thousands of dollars to get it looking decent again from the way you describe it. Any pictures?
