Here's a weird one!
This is a weird one for sure.
Drove my car to work yesterday and the radio and Bluetooth work just fine. Started the car later in the day and everything looked fine but no sound from the radio. Tried turning it up and nothing, dead air, changed the channels ok but still nothing. I switched to the CD player and a few seconds later it switched back to the radio, still no sound. Then the radio display started going VERY bright, like 18v was being applied to the display, and then as quick as it did that it immediately dimmed down where I could hardly see it, this continued for some time. I tried repeatedly to switch from the radio to the CD and then tried the USB but it would not connect. Nothing changed all the way home and I even could not hear calls on the Bluetooth, although it did appear to connect ok. Got home, shut off the car and after an hour or so started it back up and everything was back to normal, like it never happened. Can't wait for the next time , ,

Damn I wish I could tell you how to reset your iDrive but I'm not sure of the soft reset procedure on CIC based navs....only CCC.
I'm still confused if I get CIC and CCC right lol. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |

The thing is, I don't have iDrive, just the stock BMW Professional radio which we all know is a lot less professional than they let on it is.

Ohh. I don't know where I read you had iDrive then. My bad.
Maybe it's faulty. Really not sure, sorry. |

Been driving since and the issue has not repeated itself yet, but
I am sure it will. This sort of problem does not just go away.
