Ok, so what exact module is the TPMS settings in, what exact line needs to be changed, and to what exact value?

Also, what fuse needs to be removed, and does removing this fuse disable anything else? Other than the TPMS equipment, what is powered through this fuse?

Thanks!!!!

What about connecting to a battery tender via the under-hood terminals while donig this, wouldn't that be safe?

The first post pretty much covers it. Get your cable, then get the NCSEXPER.rar and NCS_DIY.pdf and follow the instructions. I believe the mirror fold is the example in the DIY.

A battery tender is not a power supply, I wouldn't recommend using it for voltage stabilization.

Sorry I havent been here in awhile guys.. got super busy

I havent had a chance to compare the files for the alarm beep yet.

I am however starting to pick apart the E60 5 series/M5/M6

I am also seriously looking into WinKFP and everything it can offer. It will take some time to get a grasp on it, just like it did with NCS expert.

But I'll figure it all out, no doubt about that.

Thanks and happy coding.

PS: Tom - never heard back from you on the S54 M3 filter, still need it! Are they in stock yet?

WinKFP is remarkably easy to use once you got the basics out of the way. The hardest part is setting it all up and importing the assembly-line data (programming files). Once it is setup, as long as you don't mistype the numbers, it's pretty straight forward. Even easier it the SB-Update mode. It'll read your current ZB number for an ECU family and tell you what update you need.

You know, with those caveats, so is brain surgery

That's correct. All you need is the right tools and the right supporting group and a guinea pig...

I have not been following this whole thread, but I thought I would add my two cents...

There are many places (ppl) that can code your car. And there are many options to select what the car can and can not do. For instance the digital speedo "v = mph or kph" you can have the car coded to report TRUE vehicle speed or have it use the speedo's buffer'd speed.

For those of you guys who want your car coded but don't have anyone local... try contacting Patrys on this forum. Patrys can code your car remotely. He will send you all the cable in the mail and code your car via the web. I have no connection with him - I am just letting everyone know he exists and offers this service. Send Patrys a PM and see what he says.

hi all

been following this thread for a while with a lot of excitement, hoping i can add some cool features to my car.

i am in the uk and have an 07 e90 320d msport. im interested in unlocking these features on my car if possible:

- folding mirrors from fob
- digital speedo
- lights on when you lock/unlock the car

i had a question regarding the folding mirrors - for those of you who have successfully coded this, do you know if you already had power mirrors in place and a button next to the slider switch for adjusting the passenger and drivers side mirrors? been asking on the uk side and apparently if you have this switch next to the slider switch, then you can have folding mirrors turned on. but from the sounds of the messages on this thread quite a few people have been able to code this - just wondered if you had this button next to the slider?

i would of thought if you had folding mirrors you would of already known and had this switch? therefore is this an extra option that lets you have folding mirrors control from the fob?

hope that makes sense.

thanks

Bmws don't auto fold there mirrors from the fob like Audi's and Mercedes, the button next to the slider switch just folds in the mirror when pressed down and when pressed again the mirror fold out they don't auto fold when locked and unlocked, if you code the car then you can make them auto fold from the fob

Hope this helps

True, there is a setting in the KOMBI for the V_DIGITAL_KORRECTOR (i may have spelt that wrong)

The correction factor is higher the faster you are going. However, leaving it in factory form with the speed slightly exaggerated saves me from the 100+ reckless driving ticket vs the 99mph speeding ticket.

Two questions.

1. Has anyone successfully coded an '06 to close windows/sunroof with the fob? How about the rain sensing sunroof? If anyone has, I would love to know! It wasn't showing on the spreadsheet.

2. With the digital speedo, are you able to switch it off simply by choosing to see MPGs or miles to empty instead?

I can't answer #1, but for #2 - yes, it's just one of the other things you can cycle through with the BC button.

The car you are looking at in the tutorial is an 06 and yes.

Couple of questions, when looking at the spreadsheet. I tried the following tonight

Fog Lights + High Beam LMA FL_UND_NSW_NICHT_GLEICHZ

I have a 2010 and I don't have an LMA module, but someone posted on 2010, 2011 this was successful. I did however select the NRFM module in the CAS and changed the value and it worked. Am I supposed to have an LMA module?

Also I updated this

Eject Key Fob with Engine Off CAS KOMFORT_EJECT

but no change. Someone also posted 2010, 2011 success but when I turn off car I still have to push the key in to remove. Can anyone confirm.

Also, with coding of the sunroof on rain close, all I have to do is change the one value
Rain Close REGENSCLIESSENTILT

What module is that in?

Misc Notes:

Tried enabling this in CIC
SPEEDLOCK_FREISCHALTMENU
MOMENTDISTRIBUTION_MENU
ENTWICKLER_MENUE

One of them adds a menu called torque distribution menu but it's greyed out and the other 2 I didn't see any new menu's.
