With the cruise set to 85 (which on the current wheels/tyres is a true speed of 80) I get 36-7 mpg - perhaps more on a flat run.

As part of my work I have a telematics device plugged into the OBD port that measures fuel used, and GPS tracking which gives a more accurate mileage than the odometer. With the 17" wheels the car's readings for mpg and mileage are shockingly accurate! Cars usually suggest a somewhat optimistic mpg...

I don't think it's the low risk proposition my M54 engine was (Mind you thats hardly cheap to keep fixing).

Is your 330i an N52 or an N53?

Well that and some other poking around on here successfully scared me into buying a warranty! With the full package and recovery/support it was £41 a month, which seems fair enough. I have never had one before, except with the one car I bought new (I usually run them from 3-6 years old) but then I have been very very lucky, I think. And bother to check things like oil...
