e90 warranty running out soon.

Alright, the 4year 50K Warranty and Free maintenance is running out soon on my 2007 e90 328i. I'll be taking it in one last time for a cabin air filter change. Is there anything else I should have the dealer look at before the warranty/free maintenance runs out ? I feel like telling them there's a squealing sound from the brakes just so they will check the brakes, and maybe give me new pads or something. Any insight will be helpful...tks.

Lol, well the only reason I have so few posts, is because I use the button when I have a question, rather than starting a new thread for everything. So thanks for clogging the board with an unnecessary new thread.

There have been lots of other people in the same situation. If you would do a simple search you'd know that.

Okay I'll answer this and be the helpful one.

Unfortunately a dealer typically won't directly look for problems. What I did when both my warranties were expiring was to take it to an independent shop that specializes in BMW's and paid for an hour of time for them to go over the entire vehicle. In my case, they didn't find anything that needed repair, and the car was in excellent condition. If they did find a problem, I could then bring the report to the dealer and have them look into it. As for the maintenance warranty, with our vehicles it's pretty black and white. If the CBS says it's time for a specific service then it is performed (oil change, microfilter, brakes, etc.). Otherwise they won't do it under warranty.

+2 years / 20000 miles for 3040$? Ouch.

I'd prefer to take a risk.

^ 1,000 per year might be worth it for an xi. More things can go wrong with all wheel drive.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

Use the crap out of your wear and tear. I had a key, several trim pieces, and a couple other things replaced no questions asked. Look for anything worn.
