E91 rear compartment lid light bulb - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

hi all, does anyone know how to replace the bulb on the rear trunk lid (not the taillight). my car is e91 wagon. many thanks.

it should be a 12V 10W bulb. i suggest you try carefully removing the housing to show the connector and the bulb. the replacement bulb should be generally available in MK and you may consider changing it to some LED

but removing the housing is a big problem

I don't have an e91 myself, but typically for the other housings in our car, they can be taken out by a little bit force with a slotted/flat screwdriver.

i saw light leaking from the 2 little holes...guess there're clips behind that?

Nice! I once planned to change all the interior lightings to LED but finally gave up coz I couldn't get those housings off!
