Low coolant

Can I put any antifreeze in or is there one specifically made for BMW?

There are non-OEM alternatives however BMW antifreeze is a sure thing and not expensive.

And according to BMW, some types of coolant may actually be harmful. If you can't get to a dealer, order it online from Tischer http://www.getbmwparts.com/ or another dealer.
